We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school website. Bishop Galvin Central School is a Roman Catholic Primary School recognised by the Department of Education and Science as a mixed primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Cork and Ross.

Mrs O'Callaghan Retires

Today the school principal made a presentation on behalf of the Board of Management to Mrs. O’Callaghan. Her grandchildren Charlotte and Andrew presented Marie with a gift voucher which Marie wants to use to purchase an I- pad to keep  in contact with her family in Australia .

Marie has worked in the school for over 20 years and showed great interest and dedication in keeping the school clean and tidy. She had great knowledge of the school and parish going back to her own school days, in what is now the parish hall.

We wish her well in her retirement  and hope that when the pandemic is over she will call into the school often for a chat and a cup of tea.

We look forward to celebrating 50 years of the opening of the central school with Marie next September!
